17308. GREEK BUSINESS AND THE EUROPEAN UNION. This paper provides an overview and analysis of the position of Greece businesses within the context of Greece’s membership in the European Union. Following a brief overview of the history of Greece’s relations with the European Union, the paper considers the benefits and drawbacks of EU membership from the perspective of Greek businesses, both in terms of Greek businesses in Greece and Greek businesses doing business in other countries. Considers the impact of EU-related political issues, such as the historically acrimonious Greece-Turkey relations in light of Turkey’s impending EU membership.
