This paper provides a summary review (with chapter-by-chapter summary) and critique of this book about the use of teams in organizations. Katzenbach & Smith provide an overview of the topic and guidelines for creating and maintaining successful teams in the organization. Although the book is praised as summarizing the current knowledge regarding the creation of high-performing teams, it is criticized for its reliance on overly-technical language as well as for presenting too much information falling into the realm of “common sense”.
